I never liked having to do stuff twice, which is why I am a big fan of declarative and reproducible approaches in all aspects of life, As such, I have taken a liking in NixOS and Emacs. While my love for these tools has not propagated to my colleagues at work (yet!), we have still achieved a highly automated infrastructure using tools like Ansible and Terraform.

In my free time, I enjoy hacking on my homeserver setup which has reduced my need for most subscription based services to zero. I am also a big fan of federated services.

Basically, this all really boils down to just a few things I really love to do:

• Optimizing systems
• Automating things
• Designing efficient workflows
• Unplug the mouse

Programming languages I enjoy include Python, Rust, Go and C++.
